The Speed Missile as it appears in Twisted Metal III.
Speed Missiles were introduced in Twisted Metal III, and later appeared again in Twisted Metal 4. These missiles fire at a very fast rate, hence its name. They are relatively weak weapons on their own, but in massive numbers, and when being combined with Energy Attacks, these missiles can cause a decent amount of damage.
Game Information
The Speed Missiles are the fastest-firing weapons in the entire Twisted Metal Series. In Twisted Metal III, the missiles fire as fast as the primary fire button is pressed and feature a slight homing capability. In Twisted Metal 4, however, Speed Missiles are fired at a steady, quick rate as long as the fire button is held down, but have lost their homing capability.
Speed Missiles have the highest capacity of all the weapons in the Twisted Metal series, other than machine guns.
Trivia
- Micro Blast's Special is a powered-up version of Speed Missiles.
- Speed Missiles have not appeared in any Twisted Metal games outside of the ones made by 989 Studios, along with Mortar, Rain Missile, Rain 2 Missile, M.I.R.V, Auto Lob, and Freeze Remote Bomb.
